Waive your recertification fees for life! With the Recertify for Life (also known as Lifetime Renewal) programme, you’ll be making a commitment to keeping your fitness credentials and your fitness knowledge up-to-date—and saving a great deal of time, money, and hassle over the long-run. If you prefer, you may opt for the the 2-year Recertification option.
The NASM Recertify for Life process is a program that helps NASM Certified Personal Trainers maintain their certification and continue their education. Here are the main steps involved in the NASM Recertify for Life process:
1. Earn 2.0 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) every 2 years
2. Renew before your certification expiration date
3. Submit your CEUs and renewal application
4. Pay the "Recertify for Life" renewal fee
*Do note that the "Recertify for Life"option is only valid for complete renewal application BEFORE the expiry date.*
You’ll need to submit:
2.0 CEUs (including 0.1 CEU from a valid CPR/AED course)
A completed recertification application
The recertification fee (RM699* for 2-year renewal OR RM1700* for lifetime renewal)
You can earn CEUs through:
NASM-approved online or in-person courses
Workshops and webinars
Specialised certifications (e.g., CES, PES, WFS)
College or university courses relevant to health and fitness
The 2-Year Renewal requires a RM699* renewal fee every two years.
Recertify for Life is a one-time RM1700* payment—you still need to submit 2.0 CEUs every two years, but you’ll never pay a renewal fee again.
The cost of NASM Continuing Education Unit (CEU) courses varies depending on the course type, format (online or live), and provider. Here’s a general guide:
NASM Self-Study Online Courses:
